IGNITE:
The Route of Spartans to Familiarity
October 28, 2023
General assemblies are held to welcome the students onto a new academic year. With this year's title, IGNITE: The Route of Spartans to Familiarity, the Forum aimed to describe the igniting passion of the first-year students as they embark on their journey in the department and with the Spartans returning to the face-to-face class set-up they are familiar with, hence, the route to familiarity.
In this year's assembly, the Forum invited two inspiring alumni who shared their experiences as a Political Science student and their life after college. The assembly included games that allowed the participants to win amazing prizes from the sponsors. Oathtaking of the newly elected officers of the Forum also took place in the event and was followed by the introduction of the projects and plans for the Forum.

APAano: REVAMPED
Turn Your Advocacies Into Reality
February 7, 2024
APAANO Revamped was held in its original face-to-face style of discussions, it invited resource speakers who would entice the audience with their acquired knowledge and experiences towards writing a Research Paper. The talk also delved on the pre-writing process, on how one determines what topic one should pursue and write about. The event was open for all, not only just limited to Political Science students, who wish to learn about how to write their thesis and what techniques to apply. There will be a workshop in this seminar to be able to have a taste of the application process of what they have learned in the talk and also be critiqued for development.
The event was successfully held at the Thomas Aquinas Research Complex (TARC) Auditorium on February 7, 2024 having the attendance of mostly second and third year political science students. The audience had a positive feedback with their reactions to the talk by the
speakers, having the points of how to be intentional, research technicalities and research application. This has made the students reflect about their ongoing research activities and future thesis writing, especially with whom they want to take their research journey with, or who their final research partner would be.

Lingkod Linangan:
The Political Science Forum Annual Public Lecture
February 21, 2024
The Annual Public Lecture, as one of the staple initiatives of The Political Science Forum, makes its long awaited return last February 21, 2024, and first time to be held onsite for nearly half a decade. After two years since its last edition, the public lecture series is recalibrated and redefined to what is renowned to be “Lingkod Linangan: The Political Science Forum Annual Public Lecture.” Unlike its previous editions which tackled contemporary issues broadly like the territorial disputes in the West Philippine Sea, transportation crisis in Metro Manila, and the COVID-19 Pandemic and its impacts on the youth, this year’s lecture was centralized under one unifying theme, which was human rights that ever remain relevant but are often marginalized in mainstream media. At its goal of cultivating a space for dialogue while simultaneously pushing for awareness of the organization’s advocacies, The Political Science Forum is successful in setting a precedent for a student-led lecture that is held onsite and open for the public.
